Lionel Messi unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain

Lionel Messi has reportedly shown signs of unhappiness at Paris-Saint Germain following his inability to adjust to life in Paris, according to a report.

The 34-year-old has struggled to replicate his usual amazing form since he moved to France from Barcelona last summer, scoring just one goal in 12 Ligue 1 appearances so far.

Having scored five goals in as many Champions League games for PSG this season, Messi’s goal tally remains respectable but is significantly below the usual figures he has produced during his career.

Now, according to El Confidencial, part of the reason behind his relative struggles this season is due to adjustment problems in France.

The report states how the Argentine family has struggled to learn the French language and is unhappy with the change in climate compared to his previous environment in Barcelona.

Rumors of his discontent grew when Messi returned to the Catalan capital recently to meet with his former teammates Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, and current Barcelona manager Xavi.

Meanwhile, Messi was part of the PSG squad that was knocked out of the Coupe de France at Nice on Monday, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men losing on penalties after a goalless draw.
