Manchester, England (September 24, 2024) – The Football Association (FA) has announced the match officials who will be overseeing the highly anticipated Carabao Cup Third Round clash between Manchester City and Watford.
David Webb has been chosen by the EFL to be the referee for Manchester City’s Carabao Cup third-round game against Watford.
This game at the Etihad Stadium will be Manchester City’s second match in just 51 hours. They played against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, which ended in a 2-2 draw after a tough match.
Manchester City remains unbeaten in both the Premier League and all competitions this season. After a quick turnaround from their draw with Arsenal, they’ll now aim to make it to the fourth round of the League Cup when they face Watford.
Watford, led by Tom Cleverley, will visit Manchester City between two important Premier League games for Pep Guardiola’s side: the Arsenal clash and their upcoming trip to Newcastle United.
Ahead of the match against Watford, the English Football League (EFL) has announced the officials for the game at the Etihad Stadium.
