West Ham United has reportedly identified Arsenal defender William Saliba as a priority target ahead of the summer transfer window.
Despite injuries to Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma, West Ham failed to bring in a new center-back in January, much to the frustration of manager David Moyes.
However, according to Jeunes Footeux, the Hammers are already planning their strategy ahead of 2022-23 with Saliba ranking high on their shortlist.
The report claims the East London outfit is ready to offer their cross-town rivals up to €30m (£25.31m) to close a deal.
Though he cost a similar fee in 2019, Saliba has yet to make an Arsenal first-team appearance, instead of spending loan spells at Saint-Etienne, Nice, and Marseille.
The 20-year-old’s actions have risen sharply in the latter, with Marseille only conceding 13 goals in 22 Ligue 1 games and competing for second place behind Paris Saint-Germain.
A report earlier this week claimed that Arsenal was ready to do business at the rate West Ham was allegedly considering.
