Newcastle’s Carabao Cup third-round match against AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday has been delayed because of flooding at AFC Wimbledon’s stadium.
AFC Wimbledon said heavy rain during the night caused major flooding of the River Wandle and nearby areas.
The match was supposed to start at 19:45 BST but will now be played at a later date.
AFC Wimbledon reached the third round after winning against Bromley and Premier League team Ipswich on penalties.
Newcastle, who were finalists in 2023, entered in the second round and also needed penalties to defeat Nottingham Forest.
