America supports having a World Cup every two years

USA, Canada, Argentina, and Brazil are on board with FIFA’s proposal, America supports having a World Cup every two years.

The debate over moving the World Cup to an event every two years continues with various nations on both sides of the debate, yet the Americas appear to support the move.

Arsene Wenger has defended the plan in recent months, and a poll has now been conducted to reveal the opinion of fans around the world.

Morning Consult conducted the poll and it appears that the United States would be incredibly in favor of holding the biggest tournament in soccer every two years.

There seems to be a dispute between the more powerful nations and the smaller nations, with the latter preferring to hold the tournament every two years.

In the United States of America, 61 percent of voters are in favor of holding a World Cup every two years, while only 15 percent oppose and 24 percent are indifferent.

Of the nations surveyed, only India held a higher number of in-favor votes than the United States, and it is curious that India is the only one of the 12 surveyed countries to have never played in a World Cup.

Brazil supports the measure by 56 percent, Canada 53 percent, Australia 50 percent, and Argentina 48 percent.
