When Lorsheyd first started playing football, she was a striker. Her doctor informed her that she would have to stop playing football due to knee issues. But she made the decision to train as a goalkeeper. She initially played with SV Loosduinen before moving on to SV Wateringse Veld and RKSV GDA.

When ADO Den Haag was founded to compete in the first season of the Eredivisie Vrouwen in 2007–2008, she started her professional career there. She spent seven seasons with the club before making her debut at the age of 16.

She served as the team’s primary goalkeeper in 2011–12, at which time they took home the Eredivisie and the KNVB Beker. She won the KNVB Beker once more the following year after decisively stopping Anouk Dekker in FC Twente’s victory in the penalty shootout. She was selected as the team’s season’s top player.

Lorsheyd joined SC Telstar in 2014 after more than 110 Eredivisie appearances with ADO Den Haag and five in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Lorsheyd was frustrated during her tenure at Telstar when a transfer to FC Basel Frauen was abruptly cancelled. In June 2015, she consented to extend her Telstar contract for one additional season.

After two seasons with Telstar, Lorsheyd signed with the national champions FC Twente in June 2016 with the explanation that she wanted to regain her position in the running for a spot on the national squad.

She played for Twente in the 2016–17 UEFA Women’s Champions League, losing to Barcelona 4-0 stage in front of 7,035 people at De Grolsch Veste.

Finally, Lorsheyd returned to ADO as the team’s top selection in 2017 after spending three seasons away from Den Haag. Lorsheyd earned her 188th official appearance for ADO in April 2019, surpassing Renate Jansen to break the club’s appearance record. In October 2019, she participated in her 200th game for the team.

In June 2021, Lorsheyd was a seasoned player on the ADO Den Haag squad that lost to PSV 1-0 in the KNVB Beker championship game, with Jolle Smits’s goal being the game-winning header.

Junior

In September 2008, Lorsheyd was one of the four Ado Haag players that were extended by the National U-19 soccer team of the Netherlands for a Round of UEFA U19 championship classification of 2009 in Lithuania. She made a total of five appearances at the level of children under 19.

Lorsheyd was appointed for the newly formed sub-23 national soccer team of Holland Sub-23 in April 2019, as one of the two players that are exaggerated alongside the Fellow goalkeeper and former teammate of Ado Jennifer Vreugdenhil.

Senior

Coach Roger Reijners called Lorsheyd to the National Team of the Netherlands for the first time in November 2013, as a replacement for Loes Geurts that had ankle issues. She was on the street to the national team on the occasions after Numberus but did not make an official appearance for them.

She was part of the preliminary team of 35 renders players for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada and was also named in Stand-by for the 2019 edition in France.

She was part of the team prior to the Dutch team at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games but was not included in the final selection. As a player of the Relatively Rare team that was not a full-time professional football, Lorsheyd had to reach a financial agreement with the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) that allowed him to train full-time in the race to the tour.

While training for the tournament in Japan, Lorsheyd collided with SHERIDA SPITSE and inadvertently inflicted an injury to the knee ligament that ruled out her teammate outside the Olympic Games.

Spitse did not have a spare about the incident and the couple sat next to each other at the party of the Opening Group, before flying home together. Since Lorsheyd is still a member of the National Women’s Soccer team in the Netherlands.

In November 2021, Lorsheyd was on Again Street for a friendly match with Japan, which will organize in her hometown of The Hague. In eight years with the national team, he had still made unpleasant, except one in a friendly Noforcial match with Belgium in 2017. She played the full game in a 0-0 draw with Japan to win its first official cap.
