Mark English was one of Grant’s classmates at Woodlands National School in Letterkenny. Grant got her Leaving Cert at the Loreto Convent Secondary School in Letterkenny from 2005 to 2011. Grant played association football for Lagan Harps and Kilmacrennan Celtic when she was in school.

The Raheny United

Grant played for Raheny United in the Women’s National League from 2011 to 2014. During this time, Grant helped United win the league championship in 2012–13 and again in 2013–14.

She also helped them win the FAI Women’s Cup in 2012 and 2013, which they did back-to-back. Grant scored a stunning goal for United against Castlebar Celtic in the final game of 2013 at the Aviva Stadium. Grant caught and let a falling ball bounce before lifting it over the Castlebar Celtic custodian. He did this without stopping his stride.

Waves UCD

From 2011 to 2016, Grant went to school at University College Dublin. She started out studying massage but then switched to medicine. In 2017, she got her diploma. When UCD Waves put a team in the Women’s National League in 2014–15, Grant moved from Raheny United to the new team.

In November 2014, she played in her third straight FAI Women’s Cup final, which her old club won 2–1 after extra time. Grant also played for UCD at the intervarsity level and in the WNL. On January 28, 2022, Grant joined the Rangers. Grant’s six-month deal was her first full-time professional deal, making her the first international player from the Republic of Ireland to sign with Rangers since Alex Stevenson in 1932. She helped the Rangers go undefeated in the league and win their first Scottish Women’s Premier League title.

Hearts

Grant agreed to move to Heart of Midlothian in June 2022. She signed a one-year deal with an option for a second year. Emma Brownlie, who signed the day before, was the only other full-time professional female player Hearts had ever had.
