Colombia is one of the best-classified national teams in South America and is also the third nation of the continent to qualify for the World Cup and the Olympic Games, in addition to Brazil and Argentina. Colombia was the first Spanish -speaking country to win a game in the Women’s World Cup and whose women’s team advanced beyond the group stage in a World Cup (in 2015).
