Tottenham Hotspur will face Portsmouth in the FA Cup third-round clash. The game will take place on Saturday, January 7.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte should be without fewer than four players for Saturday’s FA Cup third-round tie with Portsmouth in north London.
The Lilywhites are still working without Rodrigo Bentancur, Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Lucas Moura due to injury, but Yves Bissouma has returned from a one-game suspension.
Conte should make changes for visiting managerless Portsmouth ahead of next weekend’s north London derby with Arsenal, beginning with Fraser Forster replacing Hugo Lloris in goal.
A new backline should also be in order, with Japhet Tanganga, Ben Davies, and Davinson Sanchez preparing to take the places of Cristian Romero, Eric Dier, and Clement Lenglet.
A long-awaited competitive first start should also come at the hands of Djed Spence, while on the other hand, Ryan Sessegnon is in line to displace Ivan Perisic.
Other alterations in the engine room should also give Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg a rest, as Bissouma and Pape Sarr, who impressed at Selhurst Park, have early chances.
The lack of third-round options means there may be no respite for Harry Kane or Son Heung-min, who should be joined by the effervescent Bryan Gil.
