Kal Naismith Club Career
Rangers
During the 2011–12 season, Naismith was loaned out to Cowdenbeath and Partick Thistle. Upon his return from loan, Naismith made his Challenge Cup debut on July 29, 2012, in a 2-1 victory over Brechin City as a replacement.
In the 2012 Scottish Cup Second Round match against Forres Mechanics, he scored his first goal for Rangers. He and Rangers mutually decided to end his contract on August 9th, 2013.
Cowdenbeath (loan)
At the end of August 2011, Naismith signed a loan agreement with Cowdenbeath of the Scottish Second Division. He made his club debut on September 10 against East Fife and scored his first goals for the team on September 24 as they defeated Albion Rovers 2-1. His last game was on December 10 versus Arbroath because he had played less games owing to cancellations.
Partick Thistle (loan)
On January 5, 2012, Naismith signed a loan agreement with Partick Thistle in the Scottish First Division. He was unable to play against Queen of the South that weekend in the Scottish Cup since he had already played for Cowdenbeath. He started his first game on January 13 when they lost to Hamilton Academical 1-0.
Accrington Stanley
Naismith received a trial offer from Accrington Stanley in the summer of 2013 and shortly thereafter agreed to join them on a free transfer. On August 10, he started his first game for the team, a 2-2 draw at home against Portsmouth.
On October 22, 2013, Naismith scored his first goal for Stanley, scoring the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Bristol Rovers at home. He finished the season with ten goals in 38 appearances, including braces against Mansfield Town and Torquay United.

He contributed a 93rd-second goal to a 3-2 victory over Bournemouth on January 15, 2022. Despite being given a chance to sign a new deal with Luton Town, Naismith left the team at the conclusion of the 2021–22 campaign.
Bristol City
Naismith signed a free transfer contract with Championship team Bristol City on May 27, 2022, for a period of three years. On August 10, 2022, he scored his first goal for Bristol City in a victory over Coventry City in the EFL Cup.
International career
At the under-16 level, Naismith has competed for Scotland, making his international debut on October 5, 2007, when Scotland faced Wales.
