Kurt Zouma's brother was suspended by Dagenham & Redbridge after cat video

West Ham United defender Kurt Zouma‘s brother Yoan Zouma has been suspended by Dagenham & Redbridge, pending the outcome of an RSPCA investigation.

The 23-year-old is believed to have filmed disturbing footage of his older brother kicking and slapping his cat on Sunday afternoon, which was uploaded to Snapchat.

A statement from the National League club read: “The club would like to provide more updated information on their player, Yoan Zouma.

“Yoan was contacted this week by the RSPCA to assist in their investigation of him and is fully cooperating with them.

“However, Dagenham & Redbridge FC would like to reiterate that it condemns any form of cruelty to animals and fully understands the reaction of many of its supporters.

Therefore, the club has decided that until the RSPCA have completed their investigations, Yoan will not play for Dagenham & Redbridge in any competitive matches.

“Any further action deemed necessary will be taken at the conclusion of the RSPCA investigation.”

Earlier this week, West Ham fined Kurt Zouma £250.00 and lost his sponsorship deal with Adidas, while the RSPCA took care of his cats while they investigate.
