Manchester City will battle Barcelona, Real Madrid for Erling Braut Haaland

Manchester City is reportedly refusing to give up in the battle to sign Erling Braut Haaland during this summer’s transfer window.

The Norway international will have a £68m release clause in his contract with Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season and he is expected to leave his German club in search of new pastures.

Various reports have claimed that the 21-year-old wants to move to Spain, with Barcelona and Real Madrid in the mix to sign him during this summer’s transfer window.

However, Man City has also been heavily linked with the center-forward and, according to The Athletic, the Premier League champions are still determined to sign him.

The report states that the Citizens are hoping to change Haaland’s mind in the coming months, having identified him as the ideal player to lead their attack.

Haaland has scored 23 goals and registered six assists in 20 games for BVB this season despite missing a spell with a hip problem.
