About Hull City
The club was founded in 1904 and admitted to the Football League two years later. They remained in the Second Division until relegation in 1930. Hull won the Third Division North title in 1932–33 but was relegated three years later. They won the Third Division North under Raich Carter in 1948-49, remaining in the second tier for seven seasons.
Having been promoted again in 1958–59, they were relegated the following season and remained in the Third Division until being promoted as champions under Cliff Britton in 1965–66. Twelve seasons in the second tier culminated in two relegations in four years in 1981. They were promoted from the Fourth Division at the end of the 1982–83 campaign and were beaten finalists in the inaugural Associate Members’ Cup in 1984.
Hull was relegated in 1991 and again in 1996 but secured back-to-back promotions in 2003-04 and 2004-05. The club won the 2008 play-off final to earn a place in the Premier League. They were relegated after two seasons but were promoted from the Championship in 2012-13. Hull played in their first FA Cup final in 2014, losing 3-2 to Arsenal after extra time.
Relegated from the Premier League the following year, they returned for a third time with victory in the 2016 play-off final. They were relegated from the Premier League just a year later before dropping to the third tier in 2020. Hull secured promotion immediately as League One champions at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

Hull City 2025-26 Home Stadium
MKM Stadium (also known as Hull City Stadium due to UEFA sponsorship regulations) is a multi-use facility in Kingston upon Hull, England. The stadium was previously called KC Stadium but was renamed KCOM Stadium as part of a major rebranding by the stadium’s sponsor, KCOM, on April 4, 2016.
In June 2021, it was renamed MKM Stadium as part of a five-year sponsorship. With MKM Building Supplies. Conceived in the late 1990s, it was completed in 2002 at approximately £44 million. The stadium is owned by Hull City Council and operated by the Stadium Management Company (SMC), which previously considered expanding the stadium’s capacity up to 32,000.
The bowl-shaped stadium contains a single continuous tier of seats with a second tier on the west side. Its current capacity is 25,400. The stadium is home to two tenants, association football club Hull City AFC, who moved there from Boothferry Park, and rugby league football club Hull FC, who moved in from the Boulevard.
It is also the largest rugby league stadium in England. The ground also hosts international and rugby league soccer competitions and serves as a venue for concerts by musical artists such as Elton John and The Who.
