ATK (formerly known as Atlético de Kolkata) was founded in 2014 and had won the Indian Super League (ISL) three times, while Mohun Bagan had been one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Indian football, with a rich history dating back to 1889.
The club plays in the Indian Super League and their home ground is the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. They have a large and passionate fanbase and are considered one of the top teams in Indian football.

ATK Football Club, commonly known as ATK Mohun Bagan, is an Indian professional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The club competes in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The club, which was formed as a merger between the football section of Mohun Bagan AC multi-sports club and ATK FC, began play from the 2020-21 season as ATK Mohun Bagan FC. The entity continues the existing registration of Mohun Bagan AC with AIFF and IFA (W.B.), and its history and tradition.
The main owner of ATK Mohun Bagan is the consortium led by Sanjiv Goenka called Kolkata Games & Sports with Mohun Bagan AC as co-owner. ATK Mohun Bagan continues to share a fierce rivalry, known as the Boro Match, with Mohun Bagan’s old city rival East Bengal.

ATK Mohun Bagan Home Stadium
ATK plays its home games at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, commonly called Salt Lake Stadium, located in the Kolkata suburb of Bidhannagar. A multi-purpose stadium owned by the Government of West Bengal under the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, the VYKB mainly hosts football matches, apart from occasional athletics events.
The stadium was built in 1984, predominantly for matches such as the Kolkata Derby, which had too large an attendance to accommodate the Maidan grounds. Before its renovation in 2011, it was the largest football stadium in the world with a capacity of 120,000 spectators. Before the construction and inauguration of the Rungrado 1 de Mayo Stadium in 1989, it was the largest soccer stadium in the world.
ATK Mohun Bagan Kit
On November 12, at the official unveiling of the kits for the 2020–21 season, the kits released followed Mohun Bagan’s traditional color schemes, the green, and maroon home kit and a dominant white away kit, with a tag of “Champions” below the club crest in honor of the previous successful season for both Mohun Bagan and ATK in their respective leagues.
The home kit design followed the traditional maroon green striped shirt and maroon shorts, and the away kit was a white shirt with four narrow green and maroon stripes across the middle and white shorts. The uniform designs continued for the next season as well.
