Barcelona still interested in Manchester City's Raheem Sterling

Barcelona is still interested in Manchester City Raheem Sterling. Barcelona reportedly still has an interest in Manchester City striker Raheem Sterling.
The Blaugrana are expected to complete the signing of Ferran Torres from the Premier League champions next month amid his offensive problems, which were exacerbated by news of Sergio Agüero’s retirement.

Before reaching a deal for Torres, Barca was heavily linked with a raid for Sterling, who has been in and out of the starting lineup with Pep Guardiola this season.

Despite spending a lot to get Torres, Eurosport says the cash-strapped Catalans still plan to push Sterling away from the Etihad as well.

The report adds that Xavi is a ‘big fan’ of the England international, and City will be increasingly open to a sale if Sterling shows no intention of extending his contract beyond 2023.

The 27-year-old has registered seven goals and three assists in 23 games in all tournaments this season but has only started nine Premier League games.
