Manchester City 'determined to sign Erling Haaland next summer'

Manchester City are reportedly preparing to do their best for the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Braut Haaland in the summer of 2022.
The Norwegian international is expected to leave the Bundesliga squad when his release clause kicks in, prompting an intense fight for his signature.

Manchester City is one of several clubs to which an interest is attributed, although Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona are believed to be in the running.

According to Spanish media Sport, Manchester City is now “determined” to win the race for Haaland’s signing as Ferran Torres approaches a move to Barcelona.

The report adds that talks between the two sides have already reached a “serious” stage, but Haaland’s wage demands could still spoil a move.

The 21-year-old has scored 19 goals in 15 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions this period, and City are reportedly planning four deals to help them fund a move in 2022.
