Dedryck Anga Boyata (born 28 November 1990) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a center-back or right-back for Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge and the Belgium national team.

Dedryck Boyata Club Career

Early career

Born in Uccle, Belgium, Boyata began his career in the Brussels youth team before joining Manchester City in 2006. He was part of City’s 2008 FA Youth Cup-winning squad, starting in both final matches against Chelsea. He won the City’s Academy Player of the Month award for April 2009. He was one of only seven Academy players of his year to be promoted to train with the senior players since the start of the 2009–10 season.

Boyata made his first team debut against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup third round on 2 January 2010, playing at a center-back and helping his team to a 1–0 win at Riverside Stadium.
