Éverton Augusto de Barros Ribeiro (born 10 April 1989) is a Brazilian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Brazilian Serie A club Flamengo and the Brazil national team.
Formed at Corinthians, after a loan at São Caetano he was sold to Coritiba in 2011, winning the Campeonato Paranaense in both of his seasons. He also won Série A twice at Cruzeiro, being voted the best player of each season. He joined Al-Ahli Dubai for €15 million in 2014, winning several items of silverware in the United Arab Emirates before returning to Brazil with Flamengo in 2017.

Everton Ribeiro Club Career
Corinthians
Born in Arujá but raised in Santa Isabel, both in the state of São Paulo, Ribeiro joined the Corinthians youth team in 2001, at the age of ten, as a left-back. Promoted to the main squad in 2007 by coach Paulo César Carpegiani, he only appeared in four games that year, being relegated to the full-back.
São Caetano (loan)
On 21 July 2008, following the arrival of Wellington Saci, Ribeiro was loaned out to São Caetano and successfully became an attacking midfielder during his two years on the side.
Coritiba
Ribeiro returned to Timão in January 2011 but was sold to Coritiba for a fee of R$1.5 million on February 21. He made eight appearances as the team won the year’s Campeonato Paranaense, scoring in the third minute on April 17 to open a 4–1 victory at Roma Esporte Apucarana.
The following season, Ribeiro scored five goals in 15 games as the team defended its title. On May 6, 2012, in the first leg of the final away against Clube Atlético Paranaense, he opened a 2-2 draw. A week later, he made the decisive effort when his team won on penalties at the Estadio Major Antonio do Couto Pereira.
Ribeiro ended Coxa’s 2012 campaign as the club’s top scorer in Série A alongside his teammate Deivid, with eight goals. On 26 August 2012, Ribeiro was sent off in a 3–1 loss to Figueirense for a foul on Fernandes.
Cruzeiro
On January 8, 2013, Cruzeiro reached an agreement with Coritiba for Ribeiro, and three days later he signed for four years.
Ribeiro was a key attacking unit for Raposa during his two-year spell, alongside Ricardo Goulart. He was also voted Série A Player of the Year twice in a row, as his team was crowned champion twice.
Al-Ahli
After being linked to Manchester United, Milan, Monaco, and Real Madrid during the 2015 winter transfer window, Ribeiro moved to Al-Ahli Dubai on 2 February 2015 for a €15 million transfer fee.
Two days later, he made his UAE Arabian Gulf League debut of the season, opening a 2-0 home win over Al-Sharjah with the assist of Luis Jimenez, a minute after replacing Habib Fardan. He won his first silver medal for the club on 27 March, coming on as a late substitute in a 1–0 Super Cup win over Al Ain at Abu Dhabi’s Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.
He finished the campaign with 3 goals in 12 league games. In the year’s AFC Champions League, he scored 4 goals in 14 matches, including one in a 4–3 aggregate win in the semi-final second leg over Al-Hilal; the team lost the continental final by one goal to Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao.
On 19 August 2015, in the first game of the new domestic season, Ribeiro scored two goals, including a penalty kick, in an 8–1 home win over Al-Fujairah and helped compatriot Lima to two more. His team won the league, and Ribeiro told the media that the victory justified his surprise transfer to the team.
Flamengo
On June 5, 2017, an associate of Ribeiro said that he had terminated his contract with Al Ahli to return to Brazilian football. That same day he signed for Flamengo, who paid 6 million euros for 100% of his economic rights, under a contract that runs until 2021.
On December 13, 2019, Ribeiro extended his contract with Flamengo until December 2023.
Everton Ribeiro International career
After representing Brazil at the under-20 level, Ribeiro was called up to the main for two games against Colombia and Ecuador by new coach Dunga on August 19, 2014. He made his debut for Brazil in a friendly against Colombia on September 5, arriving as a substitute for Willian in a 1-0 win at Sun Life Stadium, Miami.
On May 5, 2015, Ribeiro was called up for the year’s Copa América, held in Chile. In the quarter-final against Paraguay, he replaced striker Robinho for the last three minutes of the 1-1 draw and then missed in the penalty shootout that eliminated Brazil.
