Mbock Bathy was born in Brest, Brittany, to parents of Maagasy and Cameroonian heritage. She joined Stade Briochin in 2010 when it united with En Avant de Guingamp. She is a strong centre-back. After four years with Guingamp, she signed a four-year deal with Lyon, the French team currently in first place.
Mbock Bathy played in the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan with the French under-17 team. She was named FIFA’s Player of the Tournament after France beat North Korea in the final on penalties and did a famous dance routine to celebrate.
