Dash to Houston
Motlhalo joined the National Women’s Soccer League team Houston Dash on February 1, 2018. Vera Pauw, who was the head coach of the South African national team from 2014 to 2016, hired her for the Dash. Motlhalo played for the Dash in 21 NWSL games and scored one goal.
The Houston Dash let Motlhalo go on February 6, 2019.
Beijing BG Phoenix F.C.
On February 22, 2019, it was announced that Motlhalo would be playing for Beijing BG Phoenix F.C. in the Chinese Women’s Super League. She will be joining her former Houston Dash teammate Thembi Kgatlana in China.
