Loan to Juventus

Barcelona leased Cáceres to Juventus in Serie A on August 6th, with the Turin team having the option to make his stay permanent for €11 million plus €1 million in variables at the end of the season. The next day, he made his debut in a pre-season friendly against his previous team Villarreal, taking over at right-back for Jonathan Zebina at halftime.

On 30 August 2010, Cáceres returned to Spain and joined Sevilla on a season-long loan, with an option to purchase. He featured regularly for the Gregorio Manzano-led team, especially at right-back following the return of Abdoulaye Konko to Genoa in January 2011.
