Real Madrid planning first-team role for Takefusa Kubo

Real Madrid is reportedly planning to integrate Takefusa Kubo into the first team before the 2022-23 campaign.

The 20-year-old winger joined Los Blancos in 2019, but he has yet to make a full appearance for the club, instead of experiencing four spells on loan.

Kubo is currently plying his trade with La Liga side Mallorca on a temporary basis until the end of the season and has made 19 appearances in all competitions, contributing to five goals.

According to AS, Kubo wants to be part of Real Madrid’s first team next season and the Spanish giants are ready to fulfill his wish.

Kubo is likely to face stiff competition for a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting line-up, with the likes of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio, and Lucas Vazquez already vying for a place on the wings.

The 14-time Japan international has made a total of 128 club appearances in his career so far, scoring 15 goals and registering 17 assists.
