WK-League club Daejeon Sportstoto scouts saw Wang Shuang play for provincial team Hubei in preparation for the 2013 National Games. Her contract signing with the club and arrival following the 2013 EAFF Women’s East Asian Cup was revealed on July 3. Wang scored six goals in five games in her debut season with Sportstoto, helping the team get to the final of the Korean Women’s FA Cup. Her obligations with the 2013 National Games and the China women’s national team hindered the initial development.
She joined Wu Haiyan in signing a one-year deal with the club in December 2013. During the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, she enrolled again at Wuhan Jianghan University. Many clubs in the FA WSL were interested in Wang, but on December 31st, 2015, she made a move to the Chinese Women’s Super League and joined the Dalian Quanjian.
Wang signed a two-year contract with the French First Division team Paris Saint-Germain on August 3, 2018. Wang voluntarily resigned from the club and returned to Wuhan Jianghan University on July 5.
Wang inked a contract with NWSL team Racing Louisville FC on August 10, 2022, until the 2023 season. On August 12, 2022, against Houston Dash, she made her professional debut after coming on as a replacement in the 60th minute.
