About West Bromwich Albion
West Bromwich Albion Football Club is an English professional football club based in West Bromwich, West Midlands, England. They compete in the EFL Championship, the second tier of English football. The club was formed in 1878 and has played at its home ground, The Hawthorns, since 1900.
Albion was a founding member of the Football League in 1888, the world’s first professional football league. The club has spent most of its existence in the top flight of English football, where it has played for 82 seasons. The club has been champions of England once, in 1919-20, and has been runners-up twice.
Albion has reached ten FA Cup finals and won the Cup five times. The first victory came in 1888, the year the league was founded, followed by victories in 1892, 1931, and 1954, and most recently in 1968, the club’s last major trophy. Albion also won the Football League Cup at the first attempt in 1966 and has reached two other finals. The club’s most extended continuous period in the top division spanned 24 years between 1949 and 1973, and from 1986 to 2002, it spent its most prolonged period outside the top division.
The team has played in navy and white stripes for most of the club’s history, and the club badge features a throttle perched on a hawthorn branch. Albion has longstanding rivalries with other West Midlands clubs, their traditional rivals being Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Albion disputes the Black Country derby with the latter.

West Bromwich Albion Kit
For the 22/23 season, West Bromwich Albion has unveiled its new home uniform. The legendary knitted kit worn by club legends Tony Brown, Cyrille Regis, Bryan Robson, and others in the late 1970s inspired the Puma shirt, designed by fans for fans.
The club crest has been replaced with the famous italic “WBA” lettering, and the customary blue-and-white stripes now have jagged edges, just like the original. To create their ideal home shirt, a group of Baggies fans from the Albion Assembly organized a subcommittee in 2021 and collaborated with Puma and the retail team.
