Club Career
Club Career
Carvalho is a native of Angola however, as a young man the family moved with their family to Portugal. When he was 13 he enrolled in the academy for the youth of Sporting Lisbon. His debut came for the team’s first squad on April 3rd, 2011, in a game against Vitoria Guimaraes. Following that, the team was on an eight-month loan at the Fatima club, which is in the Portuguese third division
. The following year, he was on loan to the Belgian team Cercle Brugge, where he played for a year and one half. Prior to the start of the 2013/14 campaign, he was back at Sporting and was a member of the main team. On the 27th of October, 2013 the striker made his debut goal with Sporting during a match against Porto.
In 2016 his contract was extended to 2016. Portuguese defensive midfielder signed a contract with the club until 2020. On the 13th of July, 2018, Carvalho moved to Real Betis as an unpaid free agent and signed a five-year deal.
International career
Since 2007, he’s been a part of his youth team and the senior squads of Portugal. On the 15th of October, 2012 the player made his debut in the national youth squad of Portugal in a game with the national youth team from Ukraine. Two goals were scored in the qualifying matches to play in the 2015 European Youth Championship, against Norway and Israel.
