Al-Bayt Stadium is a retractable-roof football stadium in Al Khor, Qatar, intended to be used in time for matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which is scheduled to start on 20 November 2022. The contract for the construction of the stadium was awarded to Webuild S.p.A. and Cimolai in 2015.

Al Bayt Stadium History
The inauguration of the stadium took place on November 30, 2021, on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup. It was followed by a match between hosts Qatar and Bahrain, in which reigning Asian champions Qatar survived a last-minute scare to fend off the visitors 1-0, courtesy of an Abdulaziz Hatem header in the 69th minute.
This event was attended by the Emir (Head of State) of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. FIFA President Gianni Infantino, various heads of state and authorities, and presidents of member associations enjoyed the opening ceremony of the Al Bayt Stadium which marked the official opening of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup. The newly built stadium hosted five matches during the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, including the final of the tournament on December 18, 2021.
