Ann Katrin Berger Club Career
She moved to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg in 2007. After a year, Berger moved to VfL Sindelfingen, a team in the second division. Berger signed a three-year deal with 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam in the Frauen-Bundesliga in the summer of 2011. This is the top league in Germany.
On August 21, 2011, she played her first game for the club and beat Hamburger SV 4–0. During the 2011–2012 season, she played for the club five times for 450 minutes. Potsdam won the league with a record of 18–2–2. She was the starting goalkeeper for Potsdam in three of their UEFA Women’s Champions League games in 2011–12. She helped the team keep clean sheets against ór Akureyri and Glasgow City F.C.
Berger joined Paris Saint-Germain in June 2014, and in the two years she was there, she played 22 games in all competitions.
She joined Birmingham City in June 2016.
Berger was told he had thyroid cancer in November 2017. She got better all the way. She wanted to keep playing football while she was fighting cancer. On February 4, 2018, she played her first game since being told she had cancer. It was an away match against Reading in the Fourth Round of the 2017–18 FA Women’s Cup. Berger won the Golden Glove because he had the cleanest sheets (12). On August 23, 2022, Berger told the world she had thyroid cancer again.
