Bernardo Mota Veiga de Carvalho e Silva (born August 10, 1994), known as Bernardo Silva or simply Bernardo, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Manchester City in the Premier League and for the Portugal national team.

Born in Lisbon, Silva went through the Benfica youth academy. He started playing for Benfica B in 2013 and was promoted to the first team in 2014, playing a few minutes with the latter. Club Career

Benfica

In 2002 he arrived at Benfica for the base categories of the team, where he stayed until 2013, the year he gained prominence by winning the Portuguese Junior Championship. In the same year, in August, he moved up a category to defend Benfica B and made his debut against Trofense, which ended in a 0-0 tie.
