About Cambodia National Football Team
The Cambodia national football team represents Cambodia in international football and is administered by the Cambodian Football Federation (AFC).
Known as the Khmer Republic national football team from 1970 to 1975, the team finished fourth in the 1972 Asian Cup, which remains Cambodia’s highest achievement in international competition. The team was founded in 1933 and joined the ranks of FIFA in 1953.
Cambodia’s biggest rival is Malaysia.

Cambodia National Football Team Home Stadium
The Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh hosts most of the national team’s home games. With a capacity of 70,000, it remains the largest sports venue in Cambodia since its completion in 1964. However, from August 2021 this will no longer be the case as the newly built Morodok Techo National Sports Complex, with a capacity of 75,000 to be completed. When completed, the Morodok Techo National Stadium will be the largest sports venue in Cambodia and one of the largest in Southeast Asia.
Cambodia National Football Team Kit
Cambodia’s national kits reflect the colors of the national flag which are blue, red, and white. Prior to May 27, 2022, the home kit was a blue and black jersey with black shorts and blue socks; while the original away kit was all white with a series of horizontal red stripes on the jersey. FBT sponsored this version of the kit.
On May 27, 2022, the Cambodian National Football Team announced its new kit collection. The Khmer sportswear company Varaman established in February 2022 sponsored them with designs from football agency HCD Clan United. The designs are based on the Cambodian flag, with the flag’s blue and red hues appearing regularly alongside a pattern made of pixelated images of Angkor Wat. The 2022 senior team home shirt uses a three-tone blue digital camo design.
