About Getafe
Getafe Club de Fútbol is a professional football club based in Getafe, a city in the Community of Madrid. The team competes in La Liga, the highest level of the Spanish soccer system. The club’s home stadium (owned and managed by the municipality) is the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, inaugurated in 1998 and with a capacity for 17,393 spectators. The club was founded in 1946 and re-founded in 1983.
Since being promoted to La Liga for the first time in 2004, Getafe has participated in the top flight of Spanish football for twelve years between 2004 and 2016, and again since 2017.

Getafe Home Stadium
Getafe plays at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, located in Getafe. Its field dimensions are 105×70 meters. The stadium was inaugurated on January 1, 1998, and is named after Spanish international (and Real Madrid fame) Alfonso Pérez. Although he never played for or against Getafe, not even at the stadium, he is perhaps the most famous footballer to come out of the area and was at the height of his career in the mid-1990s.
