Real Club Deportivo Mallorca, S.A.D. commonly known as Real Mallorca or simply Mallorca is a Spanish professional football club based in Palma on the island of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands. Founded on March 5, 1916, it currently competes in La Liga, playing home games at the Estadi Mallorca San Moix with a capacity of 23,142 seats.
The club had its heyday in the late 1990s and early 2000s, reaching the best third place in La Liga history in 1999 and 2001 and winning the Copa del Rey in 2003 following final defeats in 1991 and 1998. Mallorca also won the 1998 Super Cup. Spain reached the final of the 1999 UEFA European Cup Winners’ Cup.
