Manchester United considering Simone Inzaghi as the next permanent manager

Manchester United next Manager: Manchester United has reportedly approached Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi to discuss a possible move to Old Trafford this summer.

Ralf Rangnick will lead the Red Devils for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign before taking on a two-year consultant role at the club.

Paris Saint-Germain‘s Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax’s Erik ten Hag are believed to be the two favorites to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s permanent replacement at Man United.

However, according to Corriere Dello Sport, the 20-time English champions have contacted Inzaghi to discuss his availability at the end of the season.

The report claims Atletico Madrid is also showing interest in the Italian, with the La Liga champions considering replacing Diego Simeone this summer.

Inzaghi was in charge of Lazio between 2016 and 2021 before becoming Antonio Conte’s replacement at Inter ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

The 45-year-old has guided the Italian champions to 19 wins, draws, and three defeats in his 27 games in all competitions this season, with the Black and Blues currently sitting top of Serie A while they beat Juventus to win the Italian. Super Cup on Wednesday.
