5. Gary Pallister (1989 -1998)

Gary Andrew Pallister, an ex-professional footballer from England and expert on sports TV, is a former English professional footballer. He was a defender between 1984 and 2001. His nine-year stint with Manchester United (1989 to 1998) is his best-known moment as a player.

Gary Pallister, along with Steve Bruce, was one half of the greatest defensive pair of the ’90s.

United would win the Premiership three times with Pallister as their defenseman. They also won the European Cup Winners Cup and Super Cup in 1991 and 1992. The FA Cup three times was won by United in 1990, 1994, and 1996. Pallister also won the double twice and the 1992 League Cup.

Pallister was awarded the PFA Player Of The Year award in 1992. His club form also saw him play 22 times for England.

1. Bill Foulkes (1950 – 1970)

William Anthony Foulkes, an English footballer, was a former player for Manchester United in the Busby Babes team of the 1950s as well as in the 1960s. He preferred the position of center back.

Bill Foulkes is a survivor of the Munich air disaster and a long-standing United supporter. He is also a true United legend.

England was a passing country for Bruce. Foulkes was a regular starter for United but made only one appearance for his nation.

He made up the difference by leading United to four First Division medals in 1956-57, ’65, ’67, and back at Wembley. The 1963 FA Cup was added to his collection. Foulkes was nearing the end of his career, and this was perhaps his most notable achievement. Foulkes won the game-winning goal in the 1968 European Cup semifinal.

Real Madrid was unable to stop United. They would beat Benfica at Wembley.

It was a fitting way to end a long and successful career.
