About Morecambe
Morecambe Football Club is a professional football club in Morecambe, Lancashire, England. The team competes in League One, the third tier of the English football league system.
Nicknamed “The Shrimps” after the seaside city’s local culinary specialty, the club has played home games at Mazuma Stadium since moving from their original home of Christie Park in 2010. The club has rivalries with nearby Accrington Stanley and formerly residents of Lancaster City, along with other Lancashire clubs.
The club was founded in 1920 and entered the Lancashire Combination where it would remain for the next 48 years, winning the league title five times: 1924–25, 1961–62, 1962–63, 1966–67, and 1967–68. They joined the newly formed Northern Premier League in 1968 and won the FA Trophy in 1974 and the Northern Premier League President’s Cup in 1992.

Mazuma Stadium (formerly known as Globe Arena for sponsorship reasons) is a football stadium in Morecambe, Lancashire, England, which is the home of Morecambe F.C. The stadium opened in 2010, replacing the old Morecambe F.C. stadium, Christie Park, which was the home of Morecambe from 1921 to 2010. The stadium seats 6,476 fans, with 2,173 seats available in the Main Stand, which runs along one side of the pitch.
