Club Career
Elvedi, a Zürich native, played for FC Zürich when he was younger. On May 15, 2014, he played the entire 1-0 away win over FC Lausanne-Sport to make his Swiss Super League debut.
Elvedi transferred to Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2015 for a cost of €4 million. He scored his first Bundesliga goal in the rivalry game against 1. FC Köln. Borussia Mönchengladbach prevailed by a score of 1-0.

Elvedi made his debut in May 2014, when then manager Urs Meier handed him his first start in Lausanne. His first taste of first-team football ended in success, as FCZ emerged from southwestern Switzerland with a 1-0 win.
