About Syria National Football Team
The Syria national football team represents Syria in association football and is controlled by the Syrian Arab Football Federation, the governing body for football in Syria. Syria never qualified for the World Cup final, but reached the fourth qualifying round in 2018.
FIFA currently prohibits the team from playing at home, as they have not hosted a match since December 2010. A level internationally, Syria won the 2012 WAFF Championship, 1957 Pan-Arab Games and 1987 Mediterranean Games.

Abbasiyyin Stadium (Arabic: مَلْعَب ٱلْعَبَّاسِيِّين, romanized: Malʿab al-ʿAbbāsīyīn) is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium in Damascus, Syria, currently used primarily for football matches and serves as the home ground of the Syrian national team. The stadium which was built in 1976 can hold up to 30,000 spectators, being the fourth largest stadium in Syria.
