Tamires played 10 games for Charlotte Lady Eagles in the American W-League 2008. She was known as “Tam-tam” there. She played for other Brazilian teams, like Santos, before she joined Centro Olimpico in 2013. In the summer of 2015, she agreed to move to the Danish club Fortuna Hjrring, which plays in the Elitedivisionen.
She signed a one-year deal with Corinthians in June 2019, and they gave her the number 37 shirt.
International career
Tamires was on the So Paulo chosen team that went to the Peace Queen Cup in 2006 to represent Brazil. She played her first game against New Zealand in September 2013 at the Valais Women’s Cup. In Brazil’s next game, a 4–0 win over Mexico, she scored her first goal for the national team.
Tamires scored the fifth goal in Brazil’s 6–0 win over Argentina at the 2014 Copa América Femenina. In February 2015, she joined an 18-month training program to prepare the national team for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada and the 2016 Rio Olympics. Tamires was robbed in July 2015 while leaving her mother’s house in Santo André. Her gold title from the Pan American Games was taken. A copy was given to her by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
