About Turks and Caicos Islands National Football Team
The Turks and Caicos Islands National Soccer Team is the national team of the Turks and Caicos Islands and is controlled by the Turks and Caicos Islands Soccer Association.
After forming a football association in 1996 and joining FIFA in 1998, the Turks and Caicos Islands made their first appearance in an official FIFA competition when they qualified for the 2002 World Cup. In March 2000, the team was eliminated in the first qualifying round by St. Kitts and Nevis 14-0 on aggregate.
In the 2006 World Cup qualifying competition, the team suffered a 7-0 aggregate defeat against Haiti in February 2004.
In 2007, the association completed the construction of its first stadium, the Turks and Caicos Islands National Stadium, with the help of FIFA’s Goal Programme, and is committed to building a broad base of participation and support for football.
