Club Career
Estoril
Born in Cascais, Lisbon District, Chiquinho has spent more than a decade in the youth program of the local Sporting CP. In 2019, he joined the club’s neighbor G.D. Estoril Praia, making his Liga Portugal 2 debut on 18 January 2020 with a 1-0 win at home in a 1-0 win against Academica de Coimbra where he was brought on in the 60th minute as a substitute. His first score for a professional the following month, scoring in the 4-1 victory against Casa Pia A.C. also at the Estadio Antonio Coimbra da Mota.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
On the 17th of January, 2022 Chiquinho became a member of Wolverhampton Wanderers on a contract of three and a half years at a reported price of $2.9 million, which could be increased by $4.2 million with additional add-ons. Chiquinho made their debut on the 5th of February which was also his 22nd birthday.
He was replaced by Leander Dendoncker after a 1-0 defeat at home to Norwich City in the round of 32 of the FA Cup. The debut of his Premier League bow took place just five days later when he faced Arsenal and was also off the bench in a second loss in the Molineux Stadium by that scoreline.
