Club Career

Liverpool

Conor Coady is a member of the Liverpool Youth Academy after joining the club. The 2010-11 season was a time when Coady was not part of Liverpool’s first team. He was on the bench of substitutes twice, but he was unable to make it to the first team. Coady participated in all Reserve League and NextGen Series games during the 2011-12 season and scored five goals. Even though he was named on the senior squad and being selected to the senior team occasionally since 2009, he didn’t get his first senior appearance until November 2012 during the UEFA Europa League group stage match against Anzhi Makhachkala.

Huddersfield Town

On the 6th of August, 2014. His first home league goal for him came on the following 15 January, in his 298th appearance for the club, in a 3–1 win over Southampton. On 5 February 2022, he made his 300th competitive appearance for Wolves against Norwich City at home in the fourth round of the FA Cup. He scored the only goal on 13 March in a win against Everton that marked Wolves’ 1,000th top-flight victory (over 67 seasons since 1888) and also sealed their first league double over that opponent since 1972–73.

International career

Conor Coady has played for England from the age of 16 to youth levels. He has been named 17 times by the England national team of under-17s. He captained and played for the England team in the 2010 UEFA European Under-17 Championship in Liechtenstein in which the team of England teammates took the title which was the first time for the England squad to be the first team in history to take home an international competition in the span of 17 years.
