Musso trained at the San Nicolás Regatta Club academy, before going on loan to Defensores de Belgrano de Villa Ramallo, with whom he won the local championship at age 16. In the final, he saved three of the five penalties in the shootout.

He made a total of 131 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring six goals.[4] In 2011, he joined the Italian club Udinese, where he spent six seasons.
