Club Career

Kevin De Bruyne in Genk

De Bruyne was the first Genk player to make his debut in a 3-0 loss at Charleroi on May 9, 2009. De Bruyne made his debut for the team in the next season. On 7 February 2010, he scored his first goal, which secured all three points to Genk’s win against Standard Liege. 

In 32 league matches, he scored five goals and assisted 16 others during the 2010-11 season when Genk were crowned Belgian champions. De Bruyne’s first hat trick for Genk was against Club Brugge on 29 October 2011. It ended in a 5-4 victory for Genk. De Bruyne won a 5-0 victory against OH Leuven on 28 January 2012.
