About Moldova National Football Team
The Moldova national football team (Romanian: Echipa naÈ›ională de fotbal a Moldovei) represents Moldova in international football and is controlled by the Football Federation of Moldova, the governing body for football in Moldova. Moldova’s home stadium is Zimbru Stadium in ChiÈ™inău and their head coach is Serghei CleÈ™cenco. Shortly before the breakup of the Soviet Union, they played their first game against Georgia on July 2, 1991.

The Zimbru Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium in Chișinău, Moldova, completed in May 2006 with a capacity for 10,400 people, it meets all the standards required by UEFA and FIFA for national and international matches. Currently, it is mainly used for football matches and is the home stadium of Zimbru Chișinău and the Moldova national football team.
