Early career
When Ojo was 10, he joined the MK Dons academy. At age 13, he was already playing for the Dons’ U18 team and training with the first team. During his time at the club, Ojo was the first MK Dons player to get a youth international cap.
Liverpool
On November 11, 2011, Liverpool beat out many of Europe’s best clubs, including Chelsea’s multimillion-pound offer, to sign Ojo, who was 14 at the time, for an undisclosed fee that was thought to be around £2 million. In April 2014, Ojo and fellow Liverpool player Harry Wilson tied for the most goals scored at the U17 Future Cup.
Loan to Wigan
Ojo spent a lot of time on Liverpool’s bench over the holiday season. On February 2, 2015, he went on loan to Wigan Athletic. Five days later, he made his professional debut when he came on as a 59th-minute substitute for Wigan in a Championship game against AFC Bournemouth. Ojo had a positive effect on the game, and Wigan named him their Man of the Match.
Loan to Wolverhampton
In a friendly game between Liverpool and Swindon Town on August 2, 2015, Ojo scored the game-winning goal. On August 4, 2015, Liverpool said that Ojo had signed a new long-term contract with the team and that he would spend the next season on loan with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

On August 16, 2017, Ojo went on loan to Fulham for the rest of the season. On November 21, he scored twice in a 5–4 win over Sheffield United. On December 9, he scored the goal that helped his team beat Birmingham City 1-0. On December 23, Ojo got a yellow card and then scored in a win over Barnsley by a score of 2-1.
Loan to Stade de Reims
On August 30, 2018, Ojo signed a new contract with Liverpool and went on a season-long loan to Stade de Reims. He played for Reims II as well.
Loan to Rangers
Rangers of the Scottish Premiership announced on June 18, 2019, a day before Ojo turned 22, that they had signed him on loan for the whole season. He played his first game for the club on July 9, 2019, when they beat St. Joseph’s of Gibraltar 4–0 in the UEFA Europa League 2019–20. He scored the second goal in that game.
