Tottenham Hotspur eye Lautaro Martinez as Harry Kane replacement?

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly identified Lautaro Martinez as a potential replacement for talisman Harry Kane in the summer.

Kane was heavily linked with a transfer to Manchester City last summer, with Pep Guardiola revealing over the weekend that the Citizens turned down four offers for the striker.

City passed over a big-money transfer for the 28-year-old, who was eager to move to the Etihad Stadium, and now the England captain is willing to wait until the summer before deciding on the next transfer of his career.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, via ESPN, Spurs will consider swooping in for Martinez from Inter if Kane expresses his desire to leave and if Daniel Levy allows the striker to move on next season.

Martinez, 24, is valued at €60m (£50.5m) by the Serie A giants, but Spurs may face competition from Man City to land the Argentine international.

Kane is under contract in north London until June 2024, while Martinez still has four and a half years left on his contract at the San Siro.
