Berger underwent tests during the tournament in England but saved it until after the final, then returned to action for Chelsea for the current season while undergoing treatment. The two German winners are hoping that Frohms can help them take the next step and win the Champions League once again.

Frohms has plenty of national team experience, having represented Germany at U15, U16, U17, U19 and U20 levels before joining the senior team. Saved two penalties as Germany beat France to win the 2012 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship.
