Massimiliano Allegri confirms Aaron Ramsey will leave Juventus this month

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey will leave the club during the January transfer window.

The Wales international has struggled to make his mark in Turin since he arrived on a free transfer from Arsenal in 2019, with injuries plaguing the 31-year-old.

Juve is believed to have been interested in offloading Ramsey for a while due to his exorbitant pay package, and Allegri has now confirmed the midfielder’s departure is imminent.

Asked about Ramsey’s future during a news conference, Allegri said: “Aaron is not with the team because he is ready to leave the club.”

A return to Arsenal has understandably been discussed, but it is not thought to be a realistic option for Ramsey, who has also been linked with Everton, Newcastle United, and West Ham United.

Ramsey has made just five appearances in all tournaments this season and has recorded six goals and six assists in 70 games for Juve in total.
